Charles received a sudden shock - all the Microsoft Office applications on Charles’ Windows 7 computer had simply stopped working! He was unable to edit documents and was unsure if all his work had been saved. With an upcoming fundraiser for his church, he was desperate to get back up and running.

He was getting an error message indicating that his Microsoft licenses had expired, but he did not know how to renew. He called Microsoft and had to endure hours on hold. He visited his local electronics shop. But to no avail.

On hearing this, Mary Beth was understandably distraught. But Dyon was able to assure her that no files had been copied yet. Furthermore, he would remove the fraudulent scripts, upgrade her security software, and fortify her computer against further attacks.

Jeanne had suddenly realized that all the files on her computer had somehow disappeared! She had already called the tech support concierge in her community, but was told to contact Microsoft. She called Microsoft, but was unable to speak to a human. She then called Geek Squad, and even visited local Best Buy, but neither were of help.
